Yes UML and SysML are too loose from my point of view. That's said, you
could very well decide for a SysML and UML semantics in a given project
and then they would qualify. The main issue with this approach is that
you define your own semantics, not use the commonly used semantics of
SDL or SCADE, thus limiting the scalability and usability of the
approach (e.g. you need to tailor the tools to your semantics).
