[SystemSafety] A paradigm of current practice in software engineering ... :-))

Olwen
This is a great metaphor for excessive process complexity. Thanks.
Any organisation attempting to run before they can walk can learn from the
yellow marble.
Examples:
Concurrent engineering. Works only if you have an organisation with
sufficient discipline to estimate cost and schedule and deliver on estimates
...
Earned value management. Works well if you have a plethora of expert
estimators.

All,

Here's a little bit of fun:

Go to YouTube and search for "lucky yellow marble". Play the video
(circa 4 mins) and give your opinion on how closely it reflects
widespread current practice in software engineering.

I found the video yesterday and was ROTFLMAO by the end.

:-))

regards,

Olwen
