Apart from the problem that the operating system is no longer (and has
not been for some time) supported, to obtain hardware that is supported
should not be difficult. Many industrial computer system manufacturers
provide platforms to support legacy systems with varying vintages. While
they are not first-tier branded machines, many provide systems that have
extended remaining lifecycles and will provide support for your
application.

If you are unable to migrate to a later version of the control system,
it seems prudent to retain the landscape that was originally qualified
and has worked for an extended period.
