[SystemSafety] Autopilot interface?

These things can be quite important. I was talking to a good friend of mine
today about a commemoration of the SAS work done at the end of WWII in the
Jura region. The event was a parachute jump into the same area as was done
in 1945; he was one of the jumpers. The weather was poor, low cloud and
rain. The local airfield from which the jump was to depart was at one
altitude ASL; the landing ground another. The French pilot was asked the
difference in order to calibrate altimeters....the parachutists said ok,
we’ll do it by eye then, .....on the way down.
