Regarding the standard EN 50218: 2011, or rather the Spanish equivalent,
UNE-EN 50128: 2012.

https://www.aenor.es/DOCUMENTOS/NORMALIZACION/NORMASNACIONALES/EXTRACTOS/(EX)UNE-EN_50128=2012.pdf

Observations:

"This standard will cancel and substitute the standards UNE-EN
50128:2002 and UNE-EN 50128:2002 Corr:2010* before 2014-04-25."*

("Esta norma anulará y sustituirá a las Normas UNE-EN 50128:2002 y UNE-EN
50128:2002 Corr:2010 antes de 2014-04-25.")

My question:

When two versions of the standard are in force, both the 2002 version and
the 2012 version, which version of the standard should apply? The Spanish
version of this standard was published on the 21/03/12. Does that mean that
for any project which commenced subsequent to this date, the 2012 version
should apply?

Maybe somebody can tell me what the German take is in these types of
situations? As far as I can see, only the 2012 version is valid: DIN EN
50128; VDE 0831-128:2012-03:2012-03.

For me it seems logical that from March 2012 onwards, the 2012 version
should apply, however, this is not always the case.

Thanks.

Kind Regards,

Myriam
